You shall not pervert justice. You shall not show partiality, and you shall not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and subverts the cause of the righteous. Deuteronomy 16:19 ESV
Uphold justice, do not pervert it. Do justice, administer it, rally the cause of justice. You shall not show partiality. You must not allow your judgment to be affected by anything else except the truth. Truth has to prevail in any situation. Do not show partiality because they related to you. Do not show partiality because of money or because people are rich and powerful. Never accept bribe. If people in the world had been influenced and had been corrupted by the way they administer justice, this must not be the case for the followers of God. Bribery should not have room in the house of God. Denounce those who offer it, have nothing to do with them, much more do not tolerate it by accepting bribes. Defend the cause of justice. do not lean to the rich, neither lean to the poor. Just be on the side of what is true and what is right. 26 February
