Ezekiel 12:25 For I am the LORD; I will speak the word that I will speak, and it will be performed. It will no longer be delayed, but in your days, O rebellious house, I will speak the word and perform it, declares the Lord GOD.”
When there seems to be a scarcity of the word of God, God says He will speak. And it will be performed. In the time of Ezekiel, there were false visions, false prophets, and flattering divination. People prophesy what God did not say, but what people want to hear. Same with most fortune-tellers of today does. They have no word from God. They simply speak what people’s itching ears want to hear. And for the most part, people who come to them do not hear from God much more have a relationship with God. Because if people have a relationship with God, they will look to God for answers. They will look to His words for direction, and not allow false hope nor false words lead them otherwise. The people of God wait for His words for direction. They wait on God. They don’t just run ahead of God. They wait for instructions and direction. They would rather be part of what God is doing that involves God in what they are already doing. They will trust and obey God’s word that goes on ahead of Him. 4 October 2020
