Function of fashion? What's your consideration when picking up shoes. If you go for function, then you adapt your shoes to the types of activities you are doing. You won't wear golfer shoes if you will run the marathon, You won't wear running shoes if you will play NBA basketball. You won't wear ordinary sneakers if you are playing tennis at Wimbledon, or competing for the world cup. You pick the best gear for the job. You want maximum efficiency with the gears that you wear. If on the other hand you go for fashion, functionality is a distant second when it comes to your decision. Your choice primarily depends on the question: does this look good on me? how's the design? how's the color? on what occasions car i wear this? Can this be worn daily and still make a fashion statement?
On the spiritual side of life, it's not an option, it's both. When it comes to function, the Gospel of peace, is part of the full armor of God. It is part of the full ensemble when we fight our spiritual battles. It also as described in the above verse makes the wearer lovely. 27 October 2018
