Even the stork in the heavens knows her times, and the turtledove, swallow, and crane keep the time of their coming, but my people know not the rules of the LORD. Jeremiah 8:7 ESV
God has some practical tips for the people of Israel here. Know the times, interpret them properly, and try to understand what it is trying to communicate to you. Here it was so plain, the stork knows her times, the turtledoves do too, the swallow knows as well, even the crane, but the people of God has no sense. They do not know the times, they do not know how to interpret them, they have no idea what God is saying through seasons and events. He is trying to give the people of Israel a wake up call. God is speaking through the things that are happening. If that is not clear, God is speaking as clear as crystal through His words. His people just need to listen and respond properly. 29 August
