Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the LORD. Psa 32:10
it is contrasted how many are the sorrows of the wicked. while on the other hand steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord. The opposite for the wicked is the righteous. But instead of placing the righteous, it says the one who trusts in the Lord. For true righteousness can not be attained by man's effort to do what is right and perfect. It can only be attained by trusting in God. Faith in the finished work of Jesus on the cross is that brings true righteousness. Those who do so will be surrounded by steadfast love. As we put our trust in God. He will forgive us, make us holy, and will help us to live a life worthy of that right standing with God. 19 June
