Thus says the LORD: “Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ Jeremiah 6:16
Crossroads, everybody gets to it. Some take the left, some take the right, some go straight. People keep asking which is the right way to go? There is no definitive answer. Much of it will answer the question where do you want to go. Your destination determines your course. In the above passage it says ask for the ancient paths, this is the path set in time immemorial, this is the path set in eternity. If you really want to get to the proper destination, the best course to take is the one set in eternity. Seek God for direction, let the word of God be a light to your feet and a lamp to your path. There, you will never go wrong. It does not mean it will be a road with no distractions nor trials nor testing... but it is the path that will get you to your destination in God. Too bad in this passage the people had decided to rebel saying "we will not walk in it" 31 Oct 2018
