And the name of the city from that time on shall be, The Lord Is There.” Ezekiel 48:35b ESV
After all had been said and done. The final words of the book of Ezekiel summarized it all "The Lord Is There." Even when people don't understand, even when they can not comprehend the events and circumstances, even when they thought God had already abandoned them, The Lord Is There. Too many people equate the presence of God to absence of pain. They think, if the Lord is there i should not suffer at all. Tell that to the apostle Paul. If the Lord Is There there should be no rejection nor opposition, tell that to Nehemiah who while taking the task of rebuilding the wall have to deal with the likes of Sanballat and Tobiah. Too many people had this pre conceived idea of what it means for the Lord to be there.
As for you and I, trust God. He is present. He is sovereign. He is in control. What we don't understand, try to seek Him for answers. He gave an invitation, come now let us reason together says the Lord. Learn to trust Him. Trust God, when you understand and when you don't. That's when full trust happens, when you keep on being in step even when you don't have all the answers and certainties. 25 November
