And the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, the days approach when you must die. Call Joshua and present yourselves in the tent of meeting, that I may commission him.” And Moses and Joshua went and presented themselves in the tent of meeting. Deuteronomy 31:14 ESV
One of the traits of leaders we have in this movement is the willingness to leave behind the limelight to pave the way for next generation leaders. We had been hearing this from those who lead us. We must be leaders who are leading to leave. This does not me we lack the commitment and dedication in what we do. It only means we had been preparing our successor that the moment we leave our post no matter what the cause, the church, movement, or the organization we lead had been prepared for it. It will not cripple the organization because God had been helping us prepare our exit. When organizations had been prepared this way, they can thrive and even flourish under such season of transition. 3 March
