Stronger each day.

Writer's picture: Michael CustodioMichael Custodio

There was a long war between the house of Saul and the house of David. And David grew stronger and stronger, while the house of Saul became weaker and weaker. 2 Samuel 3:1 ESV

The war took time, and the whole time it was going, David knew from the prophecy of Samuel that he will replace Saul as king. In the process, David just concentrated on growing himself into position. He was not forcing himself to run after the crown, he was growing himself for the crown. In modern times, he was not after position, or he was not pushing himself to be in the position where God called him to be, but he was growing himself into position. There is a difference. One is busy running for the position, while the other is preparing himself daily for the task and responsibility God will eventually place upon his shoulders. While all the while doing everything required of him by God and leaders God has placed upon his life. If God called you to be a pastor. Don't rush nor push the issue to be one, daily prepare yourself to be one. Prepare daily, grow daily, take the daily steps that will get you there but do not push yourself into power or position. In the proper time, God will grant the fulfillment. There are others that rose to power too quickly that they can not sustain it when they get there. They were promoted too fast or they took it too quick without preparing themselves to be able to last. They though they are rockets not humans. But as they rose too fast and too high, they do not have the character nor the skills to sustain and grow it from there. Don't rush the training and growing process. 31 March
