It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man. Psa 118:8 ESV
Who do we trust when the calamities of life appears? When we are in financial trouble, who do we run to? Do we run to the emergency plastic card that extends its credit limit only to pile up 3.5% monthly interest or a 42% annual interest rate from what we borrow? Do we run to the riches member of the family and asks for help. Do we go to the nearest pawnshop and pawn jewelries, gold, expensive watches or even family heirloom just to help us cross the crisis we are in? Or do we run to the one who is willing and able to help us in our present crisis. Men can be willing but may not be able. Some men might be able but are not willing, with God, we are taking refuge in the One who is willing and able to help us at any point in our lives at any need that we will ever have. 14 July
