Praying for you.

Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you, and I will instruct you in the good and the right way. 1 Samuel 12:23 ESV

Here was Samuel, saying, as for him, he will make sure to pray for Saul. He took it upon himself as privilege and responsibility to pray for Saul. He even comes to terms that failing to pray for Saul can be equated with sin. That was how serious he was regarding the matter. How do we look at praying for the people God allow us to speak life to? How many people do you and I continue to speak life to? And in the lives of these people, how many of them do we really take the time to pray for? I am not saying this to be legalistic regarding prayer, but may you and I treat praying for people as a God given privilege and responsibility. Praying for a leader means praying for more than a personality. If his life will continue to walk in the calling of God for his life, more people will be blessed. The same is true for your life and mine. The more we pray for people in leadership, even the people under their authority or leadership is affected and blessed when we pray for them. The more successful they are in their God given calling and responsibilities, the more people had been blessed. Prayer is a privilege not a duty. It is God giving us an opportunity to intercede and pray in behalf of others. It’s a way to carry one another’s burden and be a blessing. Don’t get weary in praying for others 24 March
