My soul waits on God.

Writer's picture: Michael CustodioMichael Custodio

Psa 62:1 For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation.

Psa 62:5 For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. ESV

Both verses say the same thing, for God alone my soul waits in silence. Have you ever felt that our souls especially in these last days are more agitated than before? What I mean is this, life seems so fast faced that our souls acts like our hearts, it does not stop working. The moment our heart stops, we know we are going to die. Our souls are not like that. If our souls rests, we will not die. If our souls becomes silent, it will not be the end of us. Our souls can slow down, relax, and have full dependency on God and we will still be able to live, and not only that, we will be able to realize that a rushed life does not necessarily mean a productive one. Life is not about to end today, so why rush things as if there is no tomorrow. Wait is silence, trust that He is in control. Enjoy the moment, wait in silence on God. A literal quiet moment with God is not a waste of time. 28 June
