He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. Revelations 3:6 ESV
To the churches in the Book in Revelations, these words kept coming back. To the church, he who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. John, when writing to the churches has a specific word for each of them. They are all church of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is the head of these churches. But He delivers them a different message. Why? First, He fully knows them more than they know themselves. And God wants them to be on the right track and to continue on the right path. If they need rebuke, He will rebuke them. If they need encouragement, He will encourage them. If they need to be warned, He will warn them. If they need training, He will train them. If they need repentance, He will tell them what to let go and what to cling on to. He has a word to each church, of which He is the head. Some lessons to ponder. When God is delivering a different message to another church, who are we to judge. We can not say, they do not hear from God like we do. Because they might be hearing exactly what God is telling them, that He is not telling us. There has to be no point of competition or comparison. The important thing is, we need to hear what the Spirit is saying to us. It is not our job to judge what God is saying to others, we are responsible to hear, respond and obey to what God is saying to us. 31 December
