And all the acts of his power and might, and the full account of the high honor of Mordecai, to which the king advanced him, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia? For Mordecai the Jew was second in rank to King Ahasuerus, and he was great among the Jews and popular with the multitude of his brothers, for he sought the welfare of his people and spoke peace to all his people. Esther 10:2-3 ESV
Mordecai did not became king, but his feats, accomplishments, and life story was included in the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia. Wow, even when he did not attain the position of kings, his legacy was counted as one of them. Lesson learn, you don’t have to be in the top position to be remembered. You can be a subordinate that leave an impact beyond your position. You can be a second man, a third man, a fourth man who are changing lives, making an impact, promoting the welfare of people, pushing forward God’s agenda and not ours. There are people in the world that are so hungry for power and position, while there are other that work so hard even without positions that God eventually grants them the position or a opportunity to make a difference, serve, so good, and be a positive influence and leave a legacy that God opened for them. 26 May
