He fought with the king of the Ammonites and prevailed against them. And the Ammonites gave him that year 100 talents of silver, and 10,000 cors of wheat and 10,000 of barley. Jotham was twenty five years old when he became kin. And he made a difference in his generation. He knew how to defend his keep and he knew how to fight his enemies. He fought the king of the Ammonites and prevailed against them. For that, the Ammonites paid him tribute in forms of silver, wheat, and barley. He became mighty not because he did some very wise things he had done, but because he ordered his ways before the Lord his God. There are times when there is so much to do with our hands and very little time to do it. When stuck in making choices and decisions, allow our steps to be ordered by the Lord. Seek Him in prayer and seeking the word of God. 12 May
