This was Jezebel, the most feared woman during the time of Elijah and Elisha, wife of King Ahab in Israel. She was cruel, wicked and just plain evil. She was the one who vowed to put Elijah to the death so he ran for his life. She was the one who cunningly executed an owner of the land that he does not want to sell to Ahab. Even she, eventually faced death. She who told her husband 'you are the king, why do you act like that, and she devised a way to execute the person on false claims in order to grab his land.' She had supported the prophets of Baal and have endorsed and promoted idol worship that is an abomination to the Lord.
She had her day too. She died a gruesome death, her flesh became food for the dogs, she who has brought fear among so many died violently. Her face can not even be recognized because of what happened to her. Evil will not remain forever. Evil will pay in God's timing. God is not unjust and God is never tolerant of evil. The wicked will eventually face judgment. 18 April
