For the upright will inhabit the land, and those with integrity will remain in it, but the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the treacherous will be rooted out of it. Pro 2:21-22 ESV
Reality in life: Not all who inhabits the land remain in it. Not all people who had a taste of what is God's inheritance for them will keep it for the rest of their lives. Here it is said that the upright will inhabit the land. In this case, nobody is upright on his own accord. It is only by the grace and the mercy of God that we can stand upright before God. Only with the finished work of Jesus on the cross can you and I be declared upright. But the choice to live a life of integrity is ours to live. Integrity does not mean perfection. It means we don't live two lives. It is not living a double life. It is being who we are even when nobody is looking. We try to please God even when nobody is looking around. It means we try to please the Lord with the totality of our being. 25 July
