And Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground. And all Israel from Dan to Beersheba knew that Samuel was established as a prophet of the Lord. And the Lord appeared again at Shiloh, for the Lord revealed himself to Samuel at Shiloh by the word of the Lord. 1 Samuel 3:19-21 ESV
As Samuel grew, the Lord was with him. The presence of God in the life of Samuel provided what was needed for him to succeed in life. God was there to pave the way for success to be with Samuel but he resolved not to allow his words fall to the ground. We can see here a man who wants to make a difference. In a place where integrity was short, in a place where the sons of Eli was having sex with the people in the temple, in a place there the sons of Eli were taking by force the offering of the people even when the fats have not yet burned, Samuel resolved to be a man of integrity. He knew he had to deal with lack of trust. But he resolved to be a person of integrity. The result all from Dan to Beersheba knew that Samuel was established as a prophet of God. When he decided to be a man of integrity, God expanded his influence. When you and I have resolved to life alife of integrity, even in the midst of people who lived without them, others will notice. God will establish us. We do not establish ourselves but God does it for us. 21 March
