He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Psa 23:3 ESV
With God as my shepherd, i shall not want. This means he will supply and provide all that i need and that all i will ever need. But why did it says He restores my soul if He has already provided everything i need why does my soul need restoration? Because not all needs are material in nature. Sin has to be forgiven and relationships restored. Loneliness and sadness had to be dealt with. Confusion, anger, unforgiveness, etc. needs to be dealt with. Issues of life are more than material. My soul needs restoration. My soul needs to be healed. What is good about this verse is that God restores my soul. My will, my intellect, even my emotions. Even when i sometimes don't fully understand everything that goes about my life. Even when i don't fully understand everything that i feel, God can restore me. To a place of being right with Him and a place to being used by Him. Not only that, he leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. When i am confused on what is the right choice, God leads me on it. When i'm at a crossroads of making decisions, He does not leave me all by myself to decide, he leads. 17 June
