And Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundredfold. The Lord blessed him, Genesis 26:12 ESV
The beginning of Genesis 26 it says there was a famine in the land, but the Lord told him to stay and not go to Egypt, to which he obeyed. The thing about following and trusting God is it takes faith. Faith that we have actually heard from Him. And faith that God knows what He is saying. There is no certainty within the times, the only certainty is that God gave the instruction. When Isaac sowed in the land during the time of famine, people around him might think he had lost his mind, Others might simply assume him to be a simpleton (stupid) to plant in the middle of the famine. Others might even ridicule nor discourage him in the process. Isaac just followed the word of the Lord, knowing that God did not allow them to stay to punish nor to punish them with hunger. He knew God to be good, gracious, and sovereign. When he planted, the same year, he reaped a hundredfold. When everybody was getting anxious where they will get there food, Isaac was producing 100 times of what he sower. Where God leads, he provides. Where God directs, he protects. 9 January
