“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:10-11 ESV
Is there such thing as half truth? If you will use logic to say there is, then logic will defy you when it will insist that the other half of a half true statement is a half lie statement. Carrying the argument further that a half lie statement is a lie. Because for something to be a "lie" - for something to be a false testimony, you don't have to change everything in it. Even if you will simply lie about a portion of it, it becomes a lie not a portion of a lie. The total statement becomes corrupted when lie is inserted in it. People who lie and people who remain silent when there is a demand for the truth to be told have something in common - They do not know the real power of words. If we know the truth of the word of God and the power it carries, we will not remain silent. We can command a mountain to be uprooted and thrown into the sea. We can cast out demons in the Name of Jesus according from the words of God. Will will keep preaching the Gospel and live by our calling as ministers of reconciliation. If we believe the word of God does not return to Him void nor empty, and it accomplishes the purpose for which it was sent. We will keep using it for as long as we live.
May we diligently seek the truth of Scriptures, and may we boldly speak in full confidence the truth of God's word. Then, we will see its power unfold before our very eyes.
