Of David. Blessed be the LORD, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle; Psalm 144:1 ESV
There are some people who does not want to fight. They claim they are lover not a fighter, but it does not exempt us from the fact that we are in the middle of a spiritual warfare. Either we want to fight or not, we are at the battleground of such spiritual war. David expressed his thanksgiving to God who trains his hands for war. even his fingers for battle. One might say David had been set up for war. He had been set up to fight from the moment he took on to protect his sheep from animals, from beasts that might devour his flock. But David publicly declared it is the Lord who trains his hands for war. In our present time, God had been using people, mentors, teachers, coaches who helps us be trained for war, but bottom line, It is God who prepares us for it. Eventually, God is the one preparing us. 23 July
