God sits on the throne.

Writer's picture: Michael CustodioMichael Custodio

In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Isa 6:1 ESV

In the year that Uzziah king of Judah died, a king who did what was right in the Lord’s sight, the Lord remains seated on the throne. This is something that had to be established in the hearts of men. The passing away of good and great leaders may surprise men, but it never takes God off guard. If we want what we are doing to outlast our lifetime, we should be preparing our movement, ministry, or anything we are doing to be passed on to a successor. We must be preparing somebody for our departure. As a movement that is centered on Christ and not on personalities, we must be raising the now generation leaders and the next generation leaders for anything that can happen to us. We may have done great things in our lifetime, but it will be far greater to see the people taking over what our hands have done and bringing it to another level of accomplishment with the hand of God. Again, in the passing of great men, God is still in control. May we continue to prepare and position the next generation for success. In Jesus name. 9 August
