You have set up a banner for those who fear you, that they may flee to it from the bow. Selah Psa 60:4 ESV
The immediate context of this passage is when you are surrounded and seemingly overwhelmed with the circumstances and people around you. When pushed to end, when hard pressed against the wall, we can run to God. He says God has set up a banner for those who fear Him. A banner signifies victory. A place that when they run to, they can find refuge, security, and victory, even from the biggest and toughest blow life can give. As human beings with frailty and weaknesses, sometimes the blows of life becomes too much for us. Just remember to run to God’s banner, no need to raise our own. 27 June
