“For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed." Malachi 3:6 ESV

God is immutable. He does not change. When people claim that the only thing constant in life is change, i beg to disagree. There is one who does not change. He is God. The world may change. They would may keep on changing for the worse. It may keep deteriorating in morals, in structure, in its sustaining capability but God remains the same. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. And at that he can be known. Our progressive understanding of God can be assimilated in our lives because what we understand of God, if that is what and who he really is will remain to be true for all generations. For example, if we understand the truth from Scriptures that Jesus is the only way to salvation - and that we need to repent of our sins and turn to Him for forgiveness, then that truth can be integrated in our lives. That truth won't be outdated. Even after a hundred years. That truth about God still holds true. Jesus will remain the way, the truth, and the only source of life.

As believers, seek God. Invest time reading the Bibles so we can know God more. Invest time digging through scriptures so we can understand why he does things and how He will act on instances and situations. In this way, when we understand the answer to the question... "if in the same circumstances, what would Jesus do?" We can have a definitive stand in life.
