And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. Hebrews 11:6 ESV
if we aspire to please God, we must do so through the avenue of faith and not through other avenues. Some try to do so through hard work and sacrifices. They will sacrifice with all their hearts. If you will try to offer them help, they will refuse it. They have a martyrdom mentality that they are sacrificing for God while everybody else just rests or are doing nothing. If we try to please God with such attitude we will grow unsatisfied. Are we really trying to please God, or are we trying to persuade men. If our ultimate goal is to please God, we should seek how we can do it through faith.
In the latter part of this verse, there are two parts: first is that we must believe that God really exist (trust His power and existence) and secondly, he rewards those who seek him (trust His character). Keep on trusting that He is with you, that He is able, and that he is willing. Also, understand his nature. Our confidence in God will keep on growing the more we understand His character. 27 December
