Sometimes when we read portions of Scriptures and read that people did all the things that the Lord commanded them, we seemed overwhelmed by it. But truth be told, all these people did was obey God. The commandment come from God, the strength comes from God, the skills and knowledge comes from God, the provisions come from God. All they need to do is follow God. Scripture tells us in 2 Peter that by his Divine power, God already gave us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him. Come to think of it, everything we need "for life and godliness" are already at our disposal through our knowledge of Him who called us. Again an argument may arise. People will says, Christians vary in their understanding of God. I agree, but in the level of your understanding and knowledge of God, he equips you already with whatever you need for life and godliness. His tasks upon your life may not be as bigger or as grand as others, but he provides whatever it is that you need to be able to do the things he called you to do. Do you want to grow more in responsibility and in magnitude of what God wants to accomplish through your life, grow more in your knowledge of God, not mental understanding, but relational understanding. Learn the truth to apply it, learn the Bible to live it, learn about holiness so we can exemplify it, learn giving and generosity so we can demonstrate it, learn about healing and the gifts so we can flow in it. All that you need now, is at your disposal but keep on growing in your knowledge of God, so he can use us even further. 2 February
