Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O LORD, God of hosts. Jeremiah 15:16 ESV
One of the delights this life has to offer is the pleasure of eating. Enjoying mouth watering food and delicacies from different parts of the world. Going to a restaurant that serves cuisines from different parts of the earth. In this passage we are not talking about physical food. Jeremiah was writing about the very words of God. When he discovered God's word, he ate them. ANd it became to him a joy and delight. How many Christians have the same delight with God's word today? Now it is not hidden for us to discovere. It has been made available in most languages of the world. It had been translated and written in languages for people to read, understand, and live by. May we really feast on the Word of God. Don't leave spiritual feeding only to the pastors preaching every Sunday. You live not just one day a week. You and I live everyday and we need to eat everyday as well. We know that to be true in the physical, there is a truth to that in the spiritual as well. 31 August
