The princes of Judah have become like those who move the landmark; upon them I will pour out my wrath like water. Hosea 5:10 ESV
Why will God pour His wrath on those who move landmark? Because that is where everything begins - the moment we try to move the boundary stones that had been set in eternity. God sets the boundaries for our lives, actions, protection. If we trust God, we will live the fullness of life He has to offer within those boundaries. If we don't trust him, we will keep pushing the boundary lines. Let us try to look at the concept of adultery. God says in the new Testament that anyone who looks lustfully at a woman already commits adultery with her in her heart. When people do not believe that they keep pushing the landmark. They say, "well if she is not married or if am not married i am not committing adultery." If I have not done the actual consummation of sex i have not committed adultery. They have violated the very principles of God by moving the landmark. And when people had been pushing the landmark for quite sometime, they will forget how far they have gone from the original state. Hearts become calloused, conscience become seared, justifying ones self becomes a way of life, not knowing it becomes a spiral of unending compromise and straying away from God. The solution repentance - and go back to the original boundary stones set by God in Scriptures. Trust that God knows what He is doing and that the parameters He had set upon our lives are just, fair and even very generous. 28 November
