Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Genesis 1:26 ESV
In His grand design, God created man in His image, Then man was commissioned to have dominion of the following: fish of the sea, birds of the heavens, livestock of the ground, and over every creeping thing on the earth... He was not given dominion over man. Over every thing else on the face of the earth we can have dominion, but with men you and I must not dominate. With people we must serve. We can dominate anything else, when it comes to other men and women, service is key. Try to dominate man, and you will see an uprising. Try to enslave people, you might have people who works for you, but they will never trust nor respect you. We were designed to take dominion over the earth, but with people Jesus gave us a key. The greatest among men should be the servant of all. Understand this, we can be a servant to all without being a slave to no one - except Christ. We freely serve other men without losing our dignity. Serving others does not reduce our worth, on the other hand by serving and leading we add value to others. May i encourage you and I to have a heart and a hand ready to serve. 1 January
