For if you return to the Lord, your brothers and your children will find compassion with their captors and return to this land. For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful and will not turn away his face from you, if you return to him.” 2 Chron 30:9 ESV

Hezekiah made reforms and brought revival in the land of Jerusalem. He did what was right and tried his best to make a difference. In his efforts, he decreed proclamation from Dan to Beersheba that all should celebrate the Passover and remember what God has done among their midst. Instead of simply decreeing this unilaterally, he invited the people to come on their own accord with him leading the desire to honor and turn back to God. There are some trouble makers who laughed at them and scorned them, but there were group Asher, Manasseh, Zebulun, who humbled themselves and went to Jerusalem. The people of Judah alsa had one heart and obeyed the king. We can find here that not all the people can make a change of heart in one day. But nothing will happen if no one will initiate. If nobody will be bold enough to rally what is right, Godly, honorable in a midst of a people who are apathetic there will be no change. But if a leader fight for what is right in the eyes of God. Even when not everybody joins, the initial group that showed obedience can make a difference. and prayerfully will ripple effect from there. 13 May
