And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. Isa 11:2 ESV
When Jesus walked this earth and did his earthly ministry. He operated with the following anointing, 1. The Spirit of the Lord, 2. Spirit of wisdom 3. Spirit of understanding 4. Spirit of counsel 5. Spirit of might 6. Spirit of knowledge 7. Spirit of the fear of the Lord
How about us today? do we come in and do ministry in our own might? Do we come in cocky and so full of ourselves saying we know these things, we know what to do. A minister of God will full trust God for everything he needs to be an effective minister of the gospel. Indeed he or she will train, prepare, equip himself for work of service but his confidence is not in degrees and educational attainment, nor knowledge of theology and drawing the intended meaning of the Bible but in full confidence in the Spirit of God working in him to accomplish the task and minister and serve God and his people. 11 August
