Instead of your shame there shall be a double portion; instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their lot; therefore in their land they shall possess a double portion; they shall have everlasting joy. Isaiah 61:7 ESV
Skeletons in the closet - a colloquial phrase and idiom used to describe an undisclosed fact about someone which, if revealed, would damage perceptions of the person; It evokes the idea of someone having had a (presumably human) corpse concealed in their home so long that it had decomposed.
When God calls back to himself his people, everything about them becomes new. And everything about their past can not hold them back anymore. Think with me for one moment, other people feel so ashamed when their past is even mentioned, while people who had been forgiven by God voluntarily testify the situation on How God found them, and will convert their "mess" to the "message" of God's amazing love. When people in general does not want to discuss issues of dishonoring your name, parents, legacy of your clan, being called a black sheep in the family... again the redeemed of the Lord shall gladly rejoice and glorify God from removing disgrace, guilt, shame in their lives instead replacing them with Joy, gladness, peace, forgiveness, acceptance. What a new beginning in Christ, A real beginning for the old things are passed away and behold everything has become new. (29 Oct 2018)
