The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance[c] upon you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26 ESV
Aaron and his sons were instructed of God to bless the people of Israel by saying the benedictions :the Lord bless you and keep you. (The Lord who is the source of real blessing in life pour it to you. We need to understand that if God blesses you, no one can block it. If the Lord determines to bless you with financial provision, He can by His ways. Providing it through the mouth of a fish, giving you a boat-sinking type of catch, by healing you of a sickness that you have tried treating through medication and lost all your money in the process, by providing you physical healing to get away from being a cripple and the life of begging to having a fair chance to work with your hands and your strength. When God keeps us, we are secured and protected) The Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you. His face shining upon us alludes to the idea of the sun shining its light upon the earth. It will give light to your darkness, it will provide beauty when you see nothing. It will provide the energy needed for things to grow. It will enhance your work productivity. When it comes to God's grace, all of us need the grace of God. Without it, we won't even be saved. Without his grace, we won't have what we have today. Grace enables us to go where we can not, do what we are inadequate of going, and give what we are incapable of giving, forgive those in our humanity, we want to curse and get even with.
God lifting his countenance upon us hints of God favor and acceptance of who we are. We love our children even in their imperfections. We love and assure them that our love is not to be equated with performance nor achievements. We love them because they are ours. And may God give us peace. We might devote tomorrow just talking about God's peace 10 February
