Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters, and they came and drew water and filled the troughs to water their father's flock. The shepherds came and drove them away, but Moses stood up and saved them, and watered their flock. Exodus 2:16-17 ESV
Interesting here, Moses can not escape from who he was, he was a deliverer. We just read that he was running for his life. Why, because while he was trying to rescue a Hebrew, he killed a man in the process. And when the news about it got out, he tried to escape. But while escaping and he saw women that needed rescuing, here he goes again, he saved them. Sometimes in life, we can never run away from who we really are. We can not run away from what God has deposited in our spirits. If you are a teacher by heart, even when you already quit, you will find yourself teaching, if you are a servant by heart, even when you want to rest and retire and you see a need, you will respond. Thank God for the talents and gifts that we have. Thank God for the diversities in gifts and callings upon our lives. And thank God he does not give upon us. Even in our mistakes, frailties, imperfections, and more... he still calls on then inside and allows who we are to come out when circumstances called for it. May we continue to live and function in our God given callings and design. Serve and just be who you are. 18 January
