And Elihu continued, and said: “Bear with me a little, and I will show you, for I have yet something to say on God's behalf. Job 36:1-2 ESV
Let us be very careful when we claim we are saying things on God's behalf. What happens if we made a mistake? People who are trusting and good hearted people will trust us for our words. They might cling to our very statement as God's word for them. If we are not certain may we not use the name of the Lord. We can tell people, i sense in my heart that i have an encouragement for you. Or i really believe i need to tell you this, but to claim that we have a word of God for them, may we be certain first before we say something. What we want are people directly hearing from God regarding their lives, options, choices, and decisions. In doing so, When things succeed, God get's the glory. If they made a mistake, God's reputation won't be blamed. If the word from God comes from the preaching and the Holy Spirit spoke to them, we never claimed a word for them, they applied God's word as preached as His word for their lives and that is great. 7 June
