Give me now wisdom and knowledge to go out and come in before this people, for who can govern this people of yours, which is so great?” 2 Chron 1:10 ESV
Even the wise asks for wisdom. True people of knowledge understand their need for growth. They do not act as insufferable know-it-all. Even the king who was wisest in the land asked God for wisdom in what he is about to face as he leads the people of God. He knew the task was great and he needed to e ready to face the task. He was not trying to deny his capabilities, he just knew that what he knows will not be sufficient to complete the task. He needs to keep himself growing, and he knew he needs to keep on depending on God. He can not fully rely on his own understanding. He needs to keep himself dependent on God and not simply on stock knowledge. May you and i have the same attitude. That in everything we do, the wisdom that is needed to accomplish the task always comes from him. 3 May
