And Jesus said to him, “‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.” Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!” Mark 9:23-24 ESV
All things are possible for one who believes. These verses had been a source of controversy for so many people. Can they take these words literally? Does it really mean everything? In the context of the story, here was a person who has a child being tormented by the devil. His son is suffering physically and needs deliverance. And he asks Jesus if can do something about it. Here was when Jesus uttered those words. All things are possible for one who believes. If we believe what God said, whether it be audibly or by his still small voice, or His revelation of himself from Scripture, we will see it. The promises of God can and will happen if you and I believe them. We can walk in the realm of the supernatural if we really believe them. We can lay hands on the sick and they will recover. We can cast out demons. We can speak in new languages. As long as we can believe the promises of God, we can see it coming to reality. 29 October
