Age is not an excuse

So Abram went, as the Lord had told him, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. Genesis 12:4 ESV

One is never too old or never too young to follow God. When God Called Abraham, he was already 75 years old. He did not use that as an excuse not to follow God, He did not say i'm passed the prime of my life - for people in their time live to be 200, 300, 400, years. Generations before that people even lived up to 900 years. Still, trying to start anew life, starting to leave all the comfort and stability you have built throughout the years may not be that simple for a man who will be bringing his wife with him, to a place they have not known and a territory they had never seen, It was an act of faith. Putting in into perspective into our time and generation, age must never be an excuse when it comes to following God. If we are young and God calls us, by all means do what it takes to follow and prepare yourself to follow. If we are old when God calls us, then understand that there must be a reason for it, we may not understand all the reasons for it, but God does. We may not understand all the details and the timing for such a season as now but God does. All we have to do is completely trust that He knows what He is doing and He sees something in us that we might not even know or see ourselves. When He calls, trust Him to follow. 4 January
