Acts in darkness.

Writer's picture: Michael CustodioMichael Custodio

The murderer rises before it is light, that he may kill the poor and needy, and in the night he is like a thief. The eye of the adulterer also waits for the twilight, saying, ‘No eye will see me’; and he veils his face. Job 24:14-15 ESV

Most deeds of evil are done in darkness. People try to hide sins and evil practices in the dark. Thinking that by doing so, their deeds won’t be exposed into the light. This lie of the enemy had made so many fall into sin, disgrace, and more. Great man and woman of God lost their place in ministry thinking that deeds done in secret and things done in darkness will not be exposed. We serve a holy God. We serve a forgiving God. We must be able to balance he two. His holiness does not negate His grace, and His grace does not ignore His holiness. He will forgive sin but eh expects his sons and daughters to live right. He will cleanse us and forgive us from all unrighteousness, but he will also speak to us so may find a way out of temptation. As a reminder, let us keep ourselves away from things done in darkness and keep ourselves free from the illusion that people won’t know nor see what’s being done in the dark. May we live honest lives. 3 June
